PlainLabor collects minimal data. We use privacy-friendly analytics (Umami) that do not use cookies and do not track individual users. We collect:
- Aggregate page view counts
- Referrer information (which site linked you here)
- Browser type and screen size (aggregated)
- Country-level location (no IP addresses stored)
What We Don't Collect
- No personal information
- No email addresses (unless you contact us)
- No cookies for tracking
- No IP addresses
Third-Party Services
We may display advertisements through Google AdSense, which uses cookies to serve ads based on your browsing history. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings.
Data Sources
All labor market data displayed on PlainLabor comes from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey (JOLTS). This is publicly available U.S. government data.
